What's this I hear about Blackbird paying me money?
We are offering a new referral system. If you tell someone about Blackbird and they buy a custom board, you get $10 for every board that is ordered. There is a 'referred by' section on our order form where they can put your name and email address. All payments are made through Paypal.
Do you offer cases for your boards?
We offer two styles of custom fit flight cases for every pedalboard we make. A light duty flight case for $140 and an ATA flight case for $190. Both are custom made to fit your pedalboard.
Do I really need locking Neutrik jacks or A/C inlet?
Both the jacks and power inlet make the pedalboards extremely gig friendly. By soldering your first and last cables to the neutrik jacks you now have easy access to your input and output without touching a single pedal. The A/C inlet puts power inside your board. By attaching a short power cord to the inside of the inlet you can run any extension cord to power on the stage. So with two instrument cables and a power cord, your ready to plug-and-play right into the side of your Blackbird pedalboard.
What is a Wah Wedge?
Besides a blatant use of alliteration, the Wah Wedge is one of the unique features that set Blackbird Pedalboards apart. The Wah Wedge is a separate platform that is parallel to the floor, giving you better access to your wah/volume/expression pedals. Blackbird’s multi-platform design now gives users the best of both world.
Do you ever offer discounted pedalboards?
Occasionally we have some pre-made boards in stock and offer them at a reduced prices on our Specials page. We also have several dealers around the world that offer our pedalboards at a lower price than a custom board. Check our dealer page for more information.
What kind of cable do you recommend for my new board?
I’ve found from personal use, that Lava Cable’s solderless pedalboard kits are the most versatile and easy to use solution. As an official Lava Cable dealer, we can offer a discounted price on solderless cable kits when you purchase a Blackbird board.
How can I customize my pedalboard?
We offer over 40 different tolex and wood choices. We carry several styles of amplifier tolex as well as hardwoods to compliment any guitar. If there’s something you want but don’t see on our Tolex page, just drop us a line and we will try to find it for you.
What if I don’t like my new board?
We try our best to make every board unique and to the liking of each customer, but we do understand that damages may happen. If your board is defective or damaged during shipping in any way, we will fix it or give you a full refund at our discretion. Since each board is custom made to your specs we can not give a refund once the board is completed.
How much does a Blackbird Pedalboard cost?
Each board’s price depends on the size and options you decide to put on the board. A full price list can be seen at the top of the Order page.
How much does shipping cost? Do you ship internationally?
Shipping will depend on your distance from central Florida. Shipping to the continental United States usually ranges between $10-$40. We do offer international shipping and would be quoted on an individual basis.
What are the dimensions of your boards?
Our boards are all 15" deep and 4" at their highest point. Lengths can be customized.
Can the 1/4" jacks and A/C power inlet go on either side of the board?
Yes, but only on our standard boards. Any board with a wah wedge will have all of the 1/4" jacks and A/C inlet on the opposite side of the wedge.
